Most of the software is built on open source software, with the Visualisation Toolkit being the basis for the applications and libraries. C++ is used for coding algorithms and Tcl/Tk for coding applications and general scripts.

There are three software projects that are maintained on a ongoing basis.

  • Arthron – is a software application for shape analysis in biomechanics research. It currently used in-house and by collaborators of the research group.
  • vtkbioeng – is a software library providing extra features to the Visualisation Toolkit.
  • VTKit – is an application platform which includes VTK and Tclkit in a single executable. It is all you need to script VTK applications in Tcl.
